Hydroviv uses a technology recommended by Erin Brockovich's water specialist, Robert Bowcock to remove 99% or more of the GenX found in the water in the surrounding areas of Wilmington, NC. These filters also remove a long list of other contaminates: lead, chromium 6, arsenic, chlorine, chloride, mercury, VOC's, PCB's, PFOA's, PFOS's, pesticides, pharmaceuticals and much more! These filters are custom made specifically for the water problems we face here in greater Wilmington.
These filters do not have the negative attributes of a Reverse Osmosis (RO) system. Reverse Osmosis removes healthy minerals that our bodies need. Hydroviv takes this into consideration and only removes the toxins harmful to our bodies. Plus, RO systems can waste 4 gallons of water per 1 gallon produced... or more!
The particular unit we install is an under counter compact unit that uses replaceable filters. Filters last approximately 6 months.
